All WBHL Winter Ball Hockey rules apply if not outlined below:
Games consist of two 15 minute halves.
Games are played with 2 males & 1 female and a goalie on the floor. A team may not play with more than 2 males on the floor at any given time unless they pull the goalie. An extra male or female player may be added to the floor. Teams may play with no females on the floor however they may not exceed 2 males. (3 males if no goalie).
In the event of overtime in the playoffs, the teams will play 3 on 3 (2 males, 1 female) for 7 1/2 minutes of running time with last minute stop time. If still tied, a 3 player shootout will take place with the higher ranked team choice
of who shoots first. Format will be Male, Female, Male. If a shootout advances to sudden-death rounds, it will be male, female for each team and any additional rounds until a winner. The team must go through the entire roster of males/females before shooting a second time.
If a team receives a minor penalty, a penalty shot shall be awarded to the opposing team. All penilties will be blown down immediately. A double minor will result in two penalty shots by two separate players. For coincidental minor penalties, each team will take a penalty shot.
Only a player that was on the floor at the time of the infraction can take the penalty shot. If a team receives a major penalty or misconduct of any kind, a penalty shot will be awarded and they will be ejected from the game. Any players that are called for intentional head contact/fighting,Gross MS, Match penalty, will be ejected from the tournament.
If there no goal scored on the shootout, the opposing team will resume play when the ball is placed behind the goal line. A faceoff will take place if a goal is scored.
Each team is permitted 1, 30 second timeout per game. If a team has possession after a blown down play and calls a timeout, a faceoff at shall occur at the closest faceoff area to where the play was blown. If a team calls a timeout when the opposing team has possession, the opposing team maintains possession where the play was blown down.
The only participants permitted to play in the tournament are players on the official drafted rosters and backup roster pool if applicable to replacement criteria. Drafted goaltenders are the only players permitted to play in the goalie position. Goalies may not play as an attacker. Once teams are drafted, rosters are final. No trades are permitted.
If a goalie is injured during the tournament , teams can use one of the players listed on the backup waiver pool or use one of their regular players as an emergency previously agreed by captains if the backup goalie from backup pool has not yet arrived at rink.
If an attacking player refuses to play for their drafted team or is a no show, they may be replaced with a player of reasonable replacement with a player that majority of captain agree upon. Once replaced, the original player is no longer eligible to participate. Once a player plays or dresses for 1 game, replacements are not permitted. (this includes injuries)

Tie in Standings
A tie in standings between TWO or MORE TEAMS will be decided by the following:

2.) Head to head series
3.) Overall +/- goals for minus goals against
4.) Least goals against
5.) Most goals for
6.) Fewest penalty minutes.
7.) Flip of a coin.

If the number of points is equal between the teams in this special standing just from the results of their head-to-head (mutual) games, then the following tie breaking criteria applies (with no secondary return to the head-to-head results):
1.Overall +/- Rating
2.Overall Least goals against
3 Overall Most goals for
4 Three player Shootout between the teams which are still equal. (2 Male, 1 female. Must go through entire roster.)
